SOLAR DELTA COOLING
Our technology collects the heat from the sun using Concentrated Solar Power. It then transforms the heat, using an adsorption chiller, into coolant that can deliver enough cooling for any industrial building needs.
The device uses a parabolic mirror to focus the sun on a central point, where the heat is concentrated on the generator. The heat in the generator is then passed into an evaporated where it rapidly expands creating the cooling effect.
This system can operate virtually independent of the grid, in remote locations or in addition to a traditional cooling system. Since the system operates using the free heat energy of the sun it eliminates the electricity cost of producing cooling, providing significant savings and is much more efficient than PV solar cells. We project that our solar absorption cooling unit will require less capital than traditional compressor-based cooling systems as well as reduced maintenance costs.
Absorption cooling has been used to utilize waste heat from many processes for almost a hundred years. Typically, an absorption chiller is deployed as a cost savings element in a cooling system for a building. In these systems it is designed to help reduce the operating cost by transforming waste heat into cooling, thus reducing electricity cost of running the traditional chiller.
